CAMINO VERDE ECUADOR
The Origin
Nestled in the lush Guayas region near Guayaquil, Ecuador, Camino Verde represents the cutting edge of modern cacao production. Founded and led by microbiologist Vicente Norero, the estate operates as a centralized fermentary that bridges the gap between traditional Ecuadorian farming and advanced fermentation science. Norero’s background allows him to treat the post-harvest process like a laboratory, fine-tuning fermentation to unlock precise, consistent notes of rich fudge, toasted almond, and delicate florals.
Our Partnership
At Clear Water Cocoa Company, we value transparency and technical excellence. Sourcing these exceptional Neo-Nacional beans allows us to bring Ecuador’s heritage straight to the Chippewa Valley. Through careful small-batch roasting, we honor Camino Verde’s innovation, ensuring every bar reflects sustainability and uncompromising quality.
Tasting Notes
We taste classic fudgy chocolate with a brownie-like base, accented by nutty undertones and a smooth, floral finish.
Sourcing, Fermentation, & Drying
Beans are sourced from more than 100 local farmers. They are fermented in lined boxes, dried on cement patios, and blended together before exporting.
