Bejofo Estate – Madagascar

BEJOFO ESTATE MADAGASCAR

The Origin
Located in the fertile Sambirano Valley, the organic Bejofo Estate is a historic plantation owned and operated by Bertil Åkesson. Cacao trees thrive here alongside premium Madagascar vanilla, pink peppercorns, and ylang-ylang. The estate is legendary for its unique genetic blend of Trinitario and rare Sambirano Red Criollo. These beans are processed with winemaking precision, undergoing a three-tier cascade fermentation and slow sun-drying on traditional wooden patios.
Our Partnership
Bejofo Estate beans are the crown jewel of Clear Water Cocoa’s fruit-forward lineup. Our small-batch roasting profiles are carefully engineered to preserve the delicate, iconic fruit acids of this historic terroir. This bar delivers an electric sensory experience, opening with an unmistakable wave of bright raspberry, tart citrus zest, and red currant, before settling into a sweet finish of summer berries.
